Connect a bot

Creating a bot connection follows the same process for all frameworks. Select the framework, enter the bot credentials, and then select the speech services. The bot credentials are the only difference, so each framework has a dedicated page under Bot frameworks.

To connect an assist bot rather than a voice bot, see Assist bots. To build the bot inside Live Hub instead of connecting an external one, see AI Agents.

To create a bot connection:

  1. In the Navigation pane, select Bot connections.

    The Bot connections screen

  2. Click Add new voice bot connection.

The Connect your Bot framework picker

Click Close at any point to abandon the connection.

  3. In the Connect your Bot dialog, select your bot framework.

  4. Enter the bot's details and credentials, following the page for that framework. See Bot frameworks.

  5. Select a speech-to-text service and a text-to-speech service for the connection.

Google Dialogflow is the exception: it brings its own speech services, so there is nothing to select.

  6. Click Create.

Afterwards, use Manage bot connections to change any of these settings, and the connection's Features tab to enable recording, transcripts, call transfer, and the other call features.
